Kyle Labinsky was born in New Westminster, BC Canada in 1970. He received his BFA from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1997.

Kyle is currently a gallery artist at errant artSpace at the Annex, 932 Balmoral Rd. in Victoria, BC Canada.

Kyle’s current body of work presents a diverse and highly personal symbolic iconography where recognizable motifs hover and commune with amorphous forms and densely coloured grounds. His paintings contain stark symbols and images that occasionally dissolve and have shifting and layered meanings.

He works primarily in acrylic paint, spray paint, ink, silkscreen and lino cut prints on wood, canvas and paper
